About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and, where you become a member, sit alongside the membership agreement you sign. Where the two conflict, the membership agreement takes precedence.
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Using this website
- Content on this site is provided for general information and may change without notice.
- Prices shown are indicative, exclude tax, and are confirmed in writing before any agreement is signed.
- You may not scrape, republish or resell content from this site without written permission.
- Photographs of the building are our property and may not be used to represent another workspace.
Membership terms
Membership begins on the start date shown in your agreement and continues until either party gives notice.
- Desk memberships run month to month with 30 days' written notice.
- Private offices begin with a three-month minimum term, then continue month to month with 60 days' written notice.
- Private offices require a refundable deposit equal to one month's fee, returned within 30 days of move-out less any damage.
- Membership is personal to the named individual or company and may not be sublet or transferred without our consent.
- Keycards remain our property and must be returned when membership ends.
Billing
Invoices are issued on the first of each month and collected three days later by card or direct debit. Usage-based charges such as extra meeting room hours are billed in arrears on the following invoice.
Payments more than fourteen days overdue may result in suspension of building access. A late fee of 1.5% per month may be applied to overdue balances.
Meeting rooms and events
- Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to two hours before the start time.
- Rooms not checked into within ten minutes of the start time are released back to the pool.
- Event hire is subject to a separate agreement, a security deposit and proof of public liability insurance where third-party suppliers are involved.
House rules
The building works because people are considerate. We ask members to take calls in booths or the lounge, keep the library silent, clear meeting rooms at the end of a booking, and treat staff and other members with courtesy.
We reserve the right to end a membership, with a pro-rata refund, where behaviour makes the building worse for other members.
Liability
We maintain building insurance but this does not cover your equipment or business contents — members are responsible for their own insurance.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of San Francisco County have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
